The Business Operations Department provides back office support to all the departments within University Services including budget oversight, accounting, and customer support/inquiries.

The Mailing Systems Department is the mail processing facility for the University of New Mexico (excluding University Hospital). Mailing Systems is responsible for processing all incoming, outgoing, UNM campus mail and bulk mail in a timely manner in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the University of New Mexico.

The Records Management Department manages the University of New Mexico's vital records and files such as invoices, memos, contracts and personnel records in accordance with the State of New Mexico Retention Schedule. Records Management ensures the proper disposition of all UNM records and coordinates destruction through the State of New Mexico.

 

Shipping & Receiving (HSC)

The HSC Shipping & Receiving Department is responsible for receiving and distributing all incoming freight for the Health Sciences Center (HSC), School of Medicine and the Clinical Translational and Science Center. Shipping & Receiving provides a vital service and ensures timely delivery of freight, equipment and supplies needed to conduct business and research for a variety of labs, offices, classrooms and facilities.

The Surplus Property Department is responsible for managing the disposition of surplus property and assets for the University of New Mexico (excluding University Hospital). The Surplus Property Department focuses on sustainability by repurposing, reusing and recycling items that are no longer in active use to reduce our campus footprint.
